Welcome & Introduction

Dear Learners,

A very warm welcome to everyone!
This course will be delivered face-to-face at Eden Care at Home, in our new Eden Care Academy, however, all the course content will be housed on the Moodle platform.

Moodle is the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) used at Eden Care at Home. It is where you can find course resources, engage in course-related learning activities, see messages from your tutors and in some cases, submit assignments, where appropriate.
Moodle is a central point to access teaching and learning resources for all of your:

  • courses
  • lecture notes
  • external learning resources
  • self-test exercises and assessments
  • online learning activities
  • assignment submissions

Each module/unit that you study will have a corresponding Moodle 'space'. You may also have access to other 'ad-hoc' spaces that are more general or related to specific projects. These Moodle spaces are sometimes referred to as 'courses' or 'course pages'

What you need to know

You can log in to Moodle using your Eden Care at Home username and password. The service will be available the day after you've completed your online registration. When you have officially registered, you will have access to the course site on Moodle. All details of the course can be found within the online course site, such as, power point presentations, resources, etc.

This is not a self-paced course. Each student must manage their own time and will move through the course material. This will involve regularly logging into Moodle to read through and study the materials and resources which form the content of the course and any associated activities.
